Not Ordinary Soap Makers

Soapmakers Hannah and Cameron Thompson preparing to visit Georgia Farms for their ingredients

We’re hitting the road to discover the great farms of Georgia

Hey there-we are Hannah and Cameron Thompson, and we are no ordinary soap makers. We are on a mission to create the most luxurious and natural bath products using only the freshest Georgia Grown ingredients. We travel the state to find the best farm ingredients that they incorporate into our soaps, balms, and bath bombs.

Our adventure starts in the small town of Jackson, Georgia, where we have our retail store and production workshop. Every day, we wake up at the crack of dawn, pack their bags, and head out to explore the state. We have mapped out every farm and artisan we want to visit, and their mission is clear - to find the best ingredients that Georgia has to offer for our Georgia bath products and our Georgia Grown pantry.

Sunflower oil from Pitts, Georgia farm Oliver Farm artisanal oils

First stop, Pitts, Georgia, where they visit Oliver Farm. We meet with the farmers, Valerie and Clay Oliver and discuss the process of making sunflower oil, which we use in our soaps. The sunflowers are grown on the farm and then cold-pressed to extract the oil. The result is a smooth and silky oil that adds moisture to the skin.

The brothers explain the unique process of making their olive oil and how they handpick the olives from their trees. They also share their secret recipe for their delicious olive tapenade. Carol shows off the awesome Chef’s Extra Virgin olive oil.

Finally, we travel to Conley, Georgia, to visit Decimal Place Farm, where we source our goat milk. Mary Rigdon, Farmer and goat cheese maker shows us around the farm and introduce us to their goats. We hope to even get a chance to milk a goat themselves! We learn that goat milk has natural lactic acid that exfoliates the skin and leaves it feeling soft and smooth.
